Welcome to ItalianTaxes.com (“we,” “our,” “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website italiantaxes.com (the “Site”) and our tax preparation and filing services (the “Services”). By accessing or using the Site or Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our Site or Services.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use our Services. By using ItalianTaxes.com, you represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Services Provided

ItalianTaxes.com provides an online platform to help individuals and non-residents of Italy understand and meet their Italian tax obligations. Our Services include online calculators, tax filing tools, and optional expert-backed support. We use a combination of technology and professional expertise to produce accurate tax filings; however, the ultimate liability for the accuracy and completeness of all information provided rests with the user. We do not provide legal representation, and information on the Site should not be considered legal or financial advice.

3. User Responsibilities

By using our Services, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information, especially when submitting financial or tax-related data. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of any information provided and for compliance with Italian, U.S., or other applicable tax laws. You must keep your login credentials secure and notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.

4. Fees and Payments

Paid Services are limited to annual tax filing fees and any optional services you select. All payments must be made through our secure payment processors. By submitting payment, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees, including any asset-based fees and tier-reclassification charges described below.

Base Filing Fees and Time-Based Pricing Tiers

ItalianTaxes applies time-based pricing tiers for personal income tax filings. The applicable base filing fee is determined by the date on which you purchase the filing and is conditioned upon compliance with the filing deadline associated with the selected tier. The filing tiers are as follows:

Filing TierBase Filing FeePurchase PeriodFull Submission Deadline with ItalianTaxes*
Early Filer — Stage 1€354Through June 21, 2026July 6, 2026
Early Filer — Stage 2€425June 22 – July 5, 2026July 20, 2026
Standard€615From July 6, 2026As applicable under statutory or administrative timelines

*The full submission deadline is the deadline for completing your filing with ItalianTaxes; it is not the official tax filing deadline set by the Italian tax authorities.

Price Lock-In and Filing Deadlines

You lock in the applicable base filing fee at the time of purchase, provided that the filing is completed by the deadline associated with the selected tier. Locking in a filing fee does not extend, pause, or modify the filing deadline.

If you fail to submit all required information and complete the filing by the applicable deadline, the filing will automatically be reclassified into the next available pricing tier. Upon reclassification:

  • You will be charged the difference between the original tier fee and the new tier fee.
  • Such charges will be applied automatically and without further notice.
  • Any prior payments will be credited toward the upgraded tier fee.

Failure to meet filing deadlines does not entitle you to cancellation, refund, or price protection.

Asset-Based Fees

In addition to the base filing fee, ItalianTaxes charges a per-asset fee for each additional reportable item included in the tax filing. The asset fee is set at the given time of filing and is subject to change. Assets include, but are not limited to:

  • Real estate or immovable property
  • Bank or financial accounts
  • Investment or brokerage accounts
  • Business interests or ownership stakes
  • Foreign or Italian income-producing assets
  • Any other asset required to be disclosed under applicable tax regulations

Asset fees are calculated based on the information you provide and are charged as assets are added to the filing. You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of asset disclosures.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Because our Services involve the preparation of personalized tax documents, our cancellation and refund rules are as follows:

Cancellations Prior to Filing

You may cancel your filing at any time prior to submission. If cancellation occurs before ItalianTaxes has commenced preparation, review, or processing of the filing, you may be eligible for a refund, subject to non-refundable payment processing fees and administrative costs. ItalianTaxes reserves the right to determine whether filing preparation has commenced.

Cancellations After Filing Has Begun or Has Been Submitted

Once filing preparation has begun or a filing has been submitted, refunds are not guaranteed. Because ItalianTaxes incurs costs related to compliance review, document processing, and preparation, any refund requests submitted after this point will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Approval of refunds after filing preparation has commenced is solely at the discretion of ItalianTaxes and does not create precedent for future requests.

No Refunds for Missed Deadlines or Tier Upgrades

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Failure to meet filing deadlines
  • Automatic reclassification into a higher pricing tier
  • Delays caused by incomplete, inaccurate, or late submission of information
  • User inaction or failure to respond to requests for documentation

You bear sole responsibility for timely submission of required information.

Optional Add-On Services, Error Corrections, and Chargebacks

  • Payments for optional add-on services (such as consultations or document reviews) are non-refundable once the service has been scheduled or delivered.
  • While we do not guarantee the accuracy of filings, if a proven error is caused solely by our system or personnel (and not due to incomplete, incorrect, or delayed information from you), we will work with you to correct the error at no additional charge. Refunds will not be issued in these circumstances.
  • By purchasing our Services, you agree not to initiate chargebacks with your bank or payment provider without first contacting us at support@italiantaxes.com to resolve the issue.

Modifications to Pricing and This Policy

ItalianTaxes reserves the right to modify pricing, asset definitions, deadlines, and this policy for future filing periods at any time. Such changes will not apply retroactively to filings already purchased, except where a filing deadline is missed and reclassification applies pursuant to this policy.

6. Accuracy and Limitations

We make every effort to ensure that our technology and expert-backed support deliver the most accurate tax filings possible. However, we provide no guarantee of accuracy or completeness. You acknowledge that all responsibility for the correctness of information submitted lies with you, and that errors, omissions, or delays in providing required information may affect your filings.

7. Data Privacy

Your use of our Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using ItalianTaxes.com, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal and financial information as described in that Policy.

Data Encryption and Security Disclaimer

Our platform employs strong encryption and secure infrastructure to protect your information. We utilize Supabase as a managed infrastructure provider. Supabase is SOC 2 Type 2 certified and HIPAA compliant, meeting internationally recognized standards for data protection and security practices.

Certain sensitive elements (such as authentication tokens and keys) are further encrypted at the application level. Supabase also conducts regular security audits, penetration testing, and enforces role-based access controls to protect against unauthorized access.

While we adopt industry-leading safeguards and rely on trusted infrastructure, no system of storage or transmission can be guaranteed as 100% secure. By using our services, you acknowledge and accept that:

  • Encryption reduces, but does not eliminate, risks of unauthorized access or data loss.
  • Certifications (such as SOC 2 Type 2 and HIPAA) are indicators of robust practices but do not create a warranty of absolute protection.
  • We are not liable for damages arising from events beyond our reasonable control, including breaches or vulnerabilities that occur despite the use of encryption and industry-standard security measures.

Your continued use of our services indicates your understanding and agreement with these limitations.

10. Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) — Disclaimer

Our platform incorporates Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to assist in the preparation of tax-related documentation and reports. AI may be used to process information you provide in order to generate draft forms, calculations, or suggested outputs.

While AI enhances the efficiency and quality of our services, the following conditions apply:

  • No External Sharing: User inputs and outputs are never shared with OpenAI or other AI service providers. All AI functionality is deployed in a way that prevents external data retention or feedback loops.
  • No Guarantee of Accuracy: AI-generated outputs are provided for your convenience and may require human review or correction. We do not guarantee that AI results are free of errors or omissions, and the responsibility for verifying accuracy ultimately rests with you.
  • Supplemental, Not Determinative: AI is a tool to assist the preparation of documents but does not replace expert review or the responsibility of the user to provide correct information.
  • Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for any errors, inaccuracies, or reliance placed solely on AI-generated outputs. Users remain responsible for the final review and submission of their tax filings.

By using our services, you agree to the use of AI in the limited capacity described above and accept the associated disclaimers and limitations.
